Hyundai IONIQ 5 EV - full launch, price & specification details

from AutoExpert · host John Cadogan

The good news is that after 8-12 months of deafening silence, IONIQ 5 orders will finally open to VIPs on October 12, and to the general public on the 13th. A $2000 deposit is required, and orders will be taken online only. Delivery is slated for late this year, possibly early next, because as you know everything automotive is up in the air right now. I got a couple of hours to climb all over a pre-production IONIQ 5, between lockdowns, and it is pretty exciting to see the rapid product evolution in the metal. This is a ground-up EV with none of the fundamental engineering compromises inherent in jamming an electric powertrain inside an established combustion platform. OLIGHT DISCOUNT!
