Her story is raw and inspiring."- Todd Newton, Emmy award winning host, author & speakerI am a woman who has beat the odds, changed my life and am now using my story to inspire others .  I'm "that" girl who survived addiction, living a childhood riddled with mental, domestic and drug abuse, several bouts of homelessness and countless parental kidnappings.  Becoming addicted to alcohol and leading a partying lifestyle at age 15 led to being sexually assaulted. The destructive path did not end there, and I soon became teen mother at age 16 (in no relation to the sexual assault). Upon learning I was having a girl, I made the decision that we would not be a statistic. I knew I would have to work hard, but the daunting task did not discourage me. I continue to work hard and ensure that this is our truth every day. It's important to me that I am always a great role model for my first daughter, as well as her four younger sisters, by living with self respect and determination.  In another effort to create strength and confidence in those in need, I have founded U R Enough Magazine, a publication that focuses on instilling worth in those battling afflictions such as depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.
