I Am Bringing Floodwaters On The Earth, To Destroy All Flesh From Under Heaven | 06.07.25

I had a challenging conversation last week at my weekly outreach. I was talking to a young Christian who saw the PRO-LIFE sticker on my water bottle, and she was adamantly PRO-ABORTION. She was probably just out of high school, or finishing her first year in college, and she actually wanted to debate me about why it was okay to abort a fetus. She challenged, “Are you against abortion IN ALL CASES? What about the woman’s right to choose what to do with her own body?”   I said, “I agree, the woman has a right to do what she wants with HER OWN BODY. She has the right to have sex, or not have sex, to use protection, or not use protection. But the baby is NOT her body. It is a separate body. It has its own DNA, and often a different blood type. It is NOT the woman’s body, so she doesn’t have the right to kill it.” I SAID, “You’re a Christian, and you must know that God is FOR LIFE.”   She jumped on that and said, “But it’s not alive. It has no consciousness, and it can’t feel, so it’s not alive.”   Naturally, I was stunned by her adamant ignorance... Here's what I said...   We are continuing our series on the TRUSTWORTHINESS of the Bible Creation account, and have already discussed many scientific principles that confirm the LITERAL interpretation of Genesis BEST FITS the EVIDENCE of our observations.   We have also gone through the Genesis Creation account to discuss these principles, and to notice how understanding the literal Creation is the foundation of Salvation.   Now we have moved onto the Flood account because once again our scientific observations and principles ALIGN with this Biblical account, and NOTHING REFUTES that the Global Flood occurred.   In FACT, we find EVERY KIND of evidence we would look for to CONFIRM a Global Flood in the geology and fossils ABUNDANT on every surface of the earth. It’s OVERWHELMING.   As Answers in Genesis always says, there’s “Billions of dead things, buried in rock layers, laid down by water, all over the World.” https://answersingenesis.org/   However, in spite of this abundant, blatant geological evidence, those who reject the Biblical narrative have set about to RE-INTERPRET it into a COUNTER-Biblical narrative.   They claim that their theory of UNIFORMITARIANISM explains the miles of sedimentary layers through current, gradual geologic processes, WITHOUT a catastrophe.
