I am the Light of the world! Episode 55

Continue with us as we follow the gospel of John and witness Jesus' journey to the cross. This week's journey includes the following stops: Jesus tells the crowd, “Don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food.  Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you.” Here there is a contrast between the material things man seeks and the spiritual things. Sounds a lot like Matt 6:33 right?  Seek Him first and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. John 6vs 63.  “Human effort accomplishes nothing.”  We cannot save ourselves.  This is a significant point of the gospel of Jesus Christ - it is the very center of the gospel, WE cannot do it.  Listen as we discuss the story of the woman caught in adultery. Jesus tells us He is the Light of the world. Ask yourself, "To whom do I belong?" Finally, when you run into a situation, it's ok to ask "Why?", but we should be asking what Jesus will do with that?
