I can do all things through Christ.. Can I ?

We have all heard this scripture stated and proclaimed within our faith. I have heard it my entire life but the emphasis was on "I" instead of Christ Can we do all things through Christ? Yes!! As long as it is ordained and glorifies Christ. If I am proclaiming that I can do all things through Christ, I might want to check with Him first...... you know just to make sure this decision is apart of His perfect will. God do you want me to do this? I think it is great we use this as a declaration to encourage ourselves in the Lord. Also, we must be mindful of it becoming a mantra that loses the focus of Christ. It is Christ who has all power, grace, mercy, love and truth. It is Christ who has redemptive power. Paul was suggesting that in circumstances I can over come because of Christ. He understood that it is not his strength but it was Christ strength that allow him to continue in his journey. He was on a Christ mission. Are you?
