After serving in the military for 15 years, Mary Stanley found that reentering civilian life and processing what she had seen during rescue missions (including. 9/11) wasn't easy.While getting help and therapy for herself,  she got curious about the help her two kids with special needs were getting. She found what was missing in the programs for autistic children. Instead of complaining about it, she took on another challenge to educate herself and find everything there is to be able to help fill the need. Today, Mary uses her personal experience in her own business and nonprofit. As a founder of Courage Rising, with her expertise in behavior therapy, trauma, and neurodiversity advocacy she helps people and institutions to better understand UNIQUE BRAINS.
