I Don’t want to be a SHE EO I want to be a CEO..

from The Interesting Health & Safety Podcast · host Colin Nottage

This week, the show is taken over by special guests, Elisa and Crystal, who answer the thought-provoking question, should we celebrate International Women's Day? The answer may surprise you… KEY TAKEAWAYS Representation is vital and should be encouraged, but the conversation and inclusion should stretch far beyond a single day each year. International Women's Day itself is a positive movement, but it rarely feels genuine. it is as though society believes it be enough to simply make progress once each year. Gender should never be associated with a person's competence levels. We should tackle the underlying issues that prevent women from being in certain positions in society. BEST MOMENTS 'What about the rest of the year?' 'If you want to encourage young girls and women to look at this as viable, then be honest' 'I don't feel that my gender is ever relevant to my competence' VALUABLE RESOURCES The Interesting Health & Safety Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/vn/podcast/the-interesting-health-safety-podcast/id1467771449         Project Mollitiam - https://www.projectmollitiam.com      Crystal Danbury - https://crystaldanbury.co.uk/?page_id=32 Elisa Lynch - https://www.linkedin.com/in/elisalynch/?originalSubdomain=ie ABOUT THE HOST Colin Nottage ‘Making health and safety as important as everything else we do.’ This is the belief that Colin is passionate about and through his consultancy Influential Management Group (IMG) is able to spread into industry.
