I found love Whirlwind romances, spin my head glances I shake my head when I think of all the chances I had to find love, but I just got confused Couldn’t handle lonely nights, spiraled into fights My head said my heart had surrendered all rights Falling for a smile, then getting us abused But then I found you, my indecision was through My head hugged my heart and I knew what to do I had found love, been so long I forgot how it feels Yes, the moment was right, we two embracing moonlight On a shooting star to happiness into a future so bright Driving into tomorrow like a teen with a new set of wheels Oh, there are some potholes in the road, times you just want to explode But all of us have had a time when our deepest flaws showed I have found love, and it’s stronger than all of that stuff We laugh as we hit the bumps, she says chill, only a quitter grumps And baby I know you ain’t jumping ship over a couple lumps I smile, kiss her and hold her tight, she’s right, I just can’t get enough Cause I found love and it’s making me forget all the times where I thought I struck gold but there just wasn’t anything there Yeah, I found love, and I’m never going to give it away I want this feeling tonight, next year, every single day I found love, oh baby I found me a mountain of romance And I ain’t going to give it away, no baby not a chance Tim Windisch 9/12/2018
