When you be ready chef FBA says for a fundamental black American foundational boy Make us the citizens from slavery slaves enslaved people They're coping a better than other niggas in the dias where they a spark dias for a word. That's not true, man I mean, I'm for it. You are a B. I have a SPA not also say yeah But they be fighting each other because they one of the one thing they act on better note FBA Different from each other they're the same but they beat for each other because one thing they're acronym is better than other Oh, they're like for more organizations now.
I thought you took this acronym is like these are like LLCs now If they need every second Sunday I mean I mean I identify as I don't I mean I feel like that's what I should identify as what else is that identify as I Know the actual owners of Liberia She was running it, but I think she washed her hands because they said that they know this was coming so apparently that They get all the money from like so the biggest people whatever hair care products over to the white man for a couple billion He had the money ball essence has been throwing s and special for the last couple years But all the money and everything that is going on from essence is going towards lifting up like black people to the Nigerian's and my beerians in Africa and not pouring back into the Right, so that's what people are up in arms about this down The curtain has been drawn so now things are like well, she is still supporting black people right Maybe it's not us, but we don't have that much as black people and then you have the black FBA's whatever we like well, that's what you're doing this is bad as a commonizer because you take away from us and then Supporting other shit that a necessarily support us They take away from us when you're doing it better than us. I don't know if there's a difference, but I mean, I'm asking Well, I mean, I think we're talking about it. So a little recording, so we might as well just talk about it So as we started by black Americans, right? So in a black ass city right New Orleans So it's like well What benefit all this is getting monetized on the backs of us, but we're not benefiting from it Uh, I also say that like the nigger owes the city like what point two million dollars for vendors and other things So it's like do we support it because it's still black or do we stand up as The city's from slaves and I think it's on Madam CJ Walker's home So they're gonna be about that.
I think I get the house I mean, I feel like at this point we should we should go out and have a good time on the x Like if Nigerians and Liberians and the all the Aryans and Trians and akins want to like do sweet shit I absolutely feel that we should do that shit on the x like Let's go kicking on they fucking down like I don't understand why we'll be getting in a bad move all the motherfucker time because other motherfuckers is Doing shit in the larger black what was it African diaspora or whatever like who gives a shit Because if I think it's so your cool day recipe, right? I mean and I think it just put it e on the end of aid, you know what I'm saying? And I think it's Drinking cool aid with the e and like that shall be well to give you any kickback from it. I mean And they can still think they're supporting your product, right?
The biggest is added to eat. They're not only so it's cool. I think it depends on who it is right like Nigerian's It's a little different because I feel like all right y'all stealing and I fuck with my nice I mean me too, you know, I'm trying to be fair. I'm trying to be fair to West Africans for the most part, but they're more likely to Steal from the culture.
I think because they're a little bit further removed from auto's culture now West Indians. It's a little different like they They blend in a lot more like they flip-flop like they niggas monday through thursday and on friday they turn they flying flags Exactly they'll switch up easily when it's convenient like when the shit go down now all of a sudden you fucking trinity in but you was a nigga all week You know saying like I think it depends though. I mean like it's like ox tails Did wesson do steal ox tails or like what are we doing? I mean I prefer niggas feels I was a girl man before I knew there were wesson I thought ox tails was like neck bone adjacent like it was always a country I can cram on my middle.
Yeah, it was always cheap niggafoo ox tails is cheap. I didn't know that ox tail went out the s from the west Indians was a thing until I was fucking Had a 401k But that's it's like no day day and create ox tails, but I think it's just very styles. You know saying like it's chicken all around the world and they're about to do it different like curry Barbecue fry curry and fry whatever everybody's putting this pan on it right? But give it that example right so chicken if we do fried chicken so if Uh a Jamaican person dear fried chicken that would probably be a little bit more acceptable in a little bit less peculiar Than korean's doing fried chicken.
We should do an excellent fucking job of Like you wouldn't like a nigga though. They learn from niggas you be like who taught you to do this as opposed to a wesson You would be like who who the fuck to do this? You're like, I mean y'all Adjacent Yeah I guess it's more of a season I play because like I say other little bit more of barbe like frantic and on his face is simple, you know Yeah, but so I'm just saying y'all but so food is worth it But we just talked about with african pride is owned by the white man as a whole different Baller balls. You know what I was saying was that it was the non-autos african so his white folks Yeah, well, well, he's so let's just say just for me.
So he's so that's a white man So he could buy it so he could do this but again lifting up others and not the people who you actually got it from you know I'm saying like It's like when we're they talk to people in the diaspora and they say black people like Americans don't have culture, you know what I'm saying like but they're interested in tans and boots and And we're gonna keep it hats and want to wrap it on to that So Go ahead, correct. Even that though like back. I mean we could take it back to ox tails Nothing don't be anything until black people make that shit hot You know what I'm saying like I sales was a throwy like nails was eating ox tails out of necessity Same thing with shit. There's another rest of that shit and then black people make it hot and now they're gonna do it Like I was like ox tails cheating not no fucking more.
You know what I'm talking about everybody's on it That's just a delicacy now and same thing about the culture. It was um, it's a dude on threes I'm at the family and I send it to y'all um But basically it was just asking a white person. What is white culture? No, that was uh, that wasn't even because on threes That was in like the Senate chambers.
I think that is that somebody Uh, but is white culture and because it's not about some Polish military some shit But I basically there is no white culture, you know what I'm saying wearing black people have some shit It's hardcore. Yeah, that's black culture like most other people a lot of Other like they don't really have anything like jay just say that you black people don't have culture But you got all night jays and shit and trying to like Right as your ox tails. I mean it's crazy. I mean we talk about regular shit, but like I mean like music and shit, but like rice Is black culture like ain't no rice in euro There's only two places only two places.
There's only two places. I'll display that that does rice for the most part asia Africa That's it. So why fucking right? right so it's like you've you've I want to say appropriate it, but you've You've consumed and I was appropriate you've appropriated culture for so long and it's such a part of who you are that you can't tell the difference Between our culture and american culture.
I want to say white culture but american culture because it's just been going on for too long Yeah, and back in the day it used to be a um A commercial BNSF and it's like we don't make a lot of things about we make a lot of things about better I feel like that's kind of like white culture not necessarily better better. They take that shit buy out all the rights and copyright the shit and all that like Duval I'm not gonna say that shit forever. That's your turn. Shotgun.
Yeah That's a very unique mindset to have we create culture and we be like man the coaches for everybody everybody getting this shit off saying do wall I'm not I'm from jackseville shit. I would say do all the time some fun shit to do It's the fucking culture. We in jackseville doing the jackseville onions but Never would I ever think to like corner the market on that? I'm gonna do it so nobody's motherfucker can do it without paying me That's a very special mindset to have Uh profits over people man.
Yeah, they're gonna say like why would you even trade my dash shit for real? Like why profit? Exactly. Yeah in lane of service And welcome to with all due respect This is chef and as always well as into our podcast write a comment share with your friends and thanks for listening to this episode 252 because what said so Don't don't stay strong now Can we get more than the main bars now?
I mean, I feel like I'm done with those eight bars and we've got from ti He did it. He did it two verses didn't it? It's the same. It's the same verse that everybody's hurt Outside of the this is It's not for another single another song Before they say why is it overrated Always like you never thought with you so when I say someone is overrated that doesn't mean I don't fuck them Like I think I think I always thought you overrated like this new ti is overrated.
I always thought it was overrated And I fuck with you. I fuck with you. I mean people have ti is like the number one or number two like rapper from the south of all fucking time Like I'm I don't even think ti is the top five rapper from the south If I go down to 15 I might be able to hold on What was my list what was my list what was my list it was like I'm not putting any of these people in order Scarface Future A-ball Wayne But You don't like way I was never a big way for no no incarnation of little way like little boy don't curse little way Coming into his own the way and growing in to dream I guess I'm probably doing like my my popular black take like I was never into I was never in cash money in general The entire subcategory man Hey, hey, you're a wild boy. You're a real wild boy I don't know what brother the world's culture.
I was just I think it's lovely seeing the guy grateful guys never was a fan Like Why don't you like cash man just 10,000 feet them? I don't know I think when they came out I made a choice like you're like niggles either leaning into cash money real hard. You're leaning into the field and I was into the field Oh Like Now future not talking about the in our TIS fucking eyes here. We fucking go Out Also, I'm also driven fuck.
Yeah, also give me Devin give me Devin above ti From Germany I like I'm serious. I like I'm serious. I like traffic What's up there when that's when you got commercial urban urban And nothing I'm really confused by this. I'm sorry.
No, I meant many and I'm trying to win you You think like he broke out there from cool to he was super cool He was in the crowd like literally walking to the car trying to sneak about the crown out that we had just bought before the party ended They'll like oh shit Tom Swin Because of what he was doing So You might have Watch I Know I Know So Yeah So Hold on hold on hold on Yeah, I cut off Yep, that go pray on it come back. Go get on the Mac. Okay, and then you say a bro. What do you worry about it?
He'll keep you I'm not being great. Um, so I mean a lot of days spent in the house trying to stay dry trying to stay warm Um, I work in sales. So they're doing all the sales kickoffs and all that Uh, go up to good. You're gonna be yep, okay, I'll be counting and all that jazz and now that's a joint studio Anyway, so Papa circumstance so they crown like the king queen all this shit So uh, she was like, I'm gonna get there early.
I want to see all that shit So she got there early when she got there. It was like a bad year old lady at the table Whatever, right. So I guess that was the guy's friend with episode when we get there people are thinking that this is her grandmother Whatever, right? So she's so sweet.
So she take pictures with this old lady blah blah blah blah so fast forward till um So, uh, my ex we all still get the table together my son's out of Chicago So it's about one o'clock in the morning and she says hey you doing okay. She was like, yeah, but this old lady I'm about ready to go home. So How you getting home? She was like, I thought what do y'all was going to take What?
And at this time, right? The highest the drug is So No, no, you should not leave for less. So the ex was like, oh, okay. Well, let me know if you need something So then she goes and talks to who I thought was like what uh, the makers will you know grew up with the same oral values I had, you know, good moral compass Jimmy Wallace.
She goes to Jimmy Wallace was like, hey, that old lady talked about She thought one of us was gonna take a hold this thing that goes into Oh, no, that ain't nobody's responsibility So She's like After the fact that she took the old lady like on her Instagram stories They were like a horse and carriage and I guess she she got the lady to safety man. So that was our Crazy crazy ball ball. T So for me, I've never been It was like It was like Where's lineup? So I think that's why everybody was so late Fuck these meatballs and enjoy each other so we just Left only the entertainment Honestly, I don't know But the picture is hilarious because Shout out to country we said we don't choose in about us.
They don't Take it one for the team Right now. That's right. Nobody wanted it over her back. That's it.
The only two niggas that knew is Jimmy Wallace and the X You know what I'm saying? So I thought about that. I'll go over it. I'll go over it.
I mean I was moving around and stuff but like She's not he is she literally 90. Are you just saying like she's old lady? Hold on. I'm sure like was she like Oh, lord.
Oh, she has a kind of chairs huh? No, that's not that's not that cares. I'll say that. Oh, oh, she's she has a system She definitely answers the I You know Away from the place so yeah Yeah Walk back to the hotel for It is part like it's an animal so not half I look at that picture game.
That's really fucked up Not that we do. I'm sure So 5,000 time out work Getting to work shit, you know, oh no, yeah, we just we doing all that kick out stuff now. I got uh That's really it. I've been doing a couple of projects right now.
It's like always Um, so I see it really um No, no, that actually because it's been so cold and rainy and stupid like day for day. I did go to happy hour Um a lot of folks from high school showed up. That was cool. It was like the kind of the de facto birthday Stand That's not rebal people and that's some range people too.
Um, but yeah, that's it man. Just really chilling Something about you was Gonna do it. I know but I still gotta ask us. You want to know about our lives They do me They really want to know what you're hearing everything.
I got so many questions No, I find because you have to hear blown out remember Cause he posted that uh about like I get my hair cut. I get my hair cut once a year. So I give me a guy Yeah, no, I know I've been good Last thing yourself man Getting um birthday season Get ready for my birthday party next week You gotta cast a lot of this Yeah, I gotta cast him. I got like a real I got a legitimate outfit like I got some shit Like I'm gonna look trying to go like for cartoony.
I was trying to go for some flash it so So did you go to like thrift? Thift shop? So No, I got some Gators off of it. See I got me Got me a suit.
I don't spread it. Don't spread it for the people. All right. Yeah, everybody want to show some out bus with my Dicks I love it like I mean people doing different looks I'm looking forward to seeing how everybody come out You know saying it's gonna be a deal we can try Everybody I mean That's the break working with my ass.
I don't know about y'all. I feel like That's crazy. I don't have it but work It's just like I feel like um I'm not I'm always working and that's your crazy. So, you know, I think it's the times we live in Emitter's crazy man.
That's what good. Anyway, Preston P. Jesse Jackson there Just Jackson passed last week I think it's 84. All right.
I gotta ask y'all the question. Well, actually you chef because you're probably the conspiracy theory doing on the podcast So they said it's a book. I don't know what the book is called or whatever. They're talking about the people assassinated in Dr.
King Um and they're talking about every but in the book they say that everybody who was in on it or whatever and who was supposed to be safe During the assassination. We're not wearing ties Great. We're talking about that. Right.
So that's why Jesse and No, everything was innocent. Everything. We're both in suits The Sigma it was the Sigma and Jesse So He didn't even fucking just like towards the end like he knew just the fuck minute but I mean very kind of has maybe changed my outlet because I Didn't fuck with Jesse because you are Muslim now so you gotta know I gotta miss it You know Like people At that time I'm gonna go This is not how people thought the Jesse Jackson tribute was gonna go Jesse if you follow politics you understand that Jesse is like a lynchpin in modern history, you know, I'm saying most people realize that like he's What do you call it in Marvel? He's one of them anchor.
He's an anchor being or something like that like Jesse's an anchor being I Feel the role I I Know I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Me Me I I I And I I I I This, this child. So this is starting, this shit started because T.I. was like, hey, he wanted to do a versus against 50 cent, 50 cent, duck and smoke. That was it, he was on a podcast or on some stage, he said the shit.
But you know, 50 cent, being who he is, he don't like anybody putting their name in their mouth. So then he started posting about, I don't think Tiny was the first thing that he posted about, but he eventually posted Tiny. And we've pissed off T.I. Son King.
So he started talking about 50, then 50 cent, talking about King. And then we got the first diss track from T.I. which sounded really good, you know what I'm saying? And from that, I think we have three now.
So it's obvious that 50 is not gonna get in the booth because that would be bad for him. But I think that he's done trolling with T.I. because people hold T.I. in a certain respect, right?
So they didn't like 50 fucking with T.I. Right? He's almost like 50 fucking with the south. So a lot of niggas came, like you look at T.I.
It's common, you see the kind of mics and the futures, you got all the letter rappers, but you also got just rapping from the south, like, you know, with the flavor, Moji's type shit. So I think that he might have just poked the wrong bear. And at this point, I think it's starting to become a little financial to him, because he's posting now, like I got a movie coming out, me and fucking Tyler Perry type shit and he got people under those comments like, man, we should boycott this movie. Nobody wanna fuck with it.
You know what I'm saying? So I think he really cares about him, bottom line. So I think he's pretty much done with it. You know, I think he got his comments off on his last post.
Oh, for real? Yeah, I think he's somebody on his PR team or his marketing team or his account was like, hey, Nick, it's like, all right, you trip it now. That's the idea. I didn't leave the world.
He didn't move the world and now 50 skated in turn in his comments. I'm having a fucking tee-up, man. See, I'm trying to drop another fucking out. I'm having a fucking out.
I'm having a fucking shit about Zoom. I think it definitely cut his comments off on his last post. So he called T.I. in album mode, right?
Then they got just released a single. So now this thing has his knives sharpened and it was just when we get down to 50. T.I. gon' play them same eight bars on 13 tracks and we can be good.
They think they can. They think they can. They think they can. They think they can.
We can get them same fucking balls. Play the second song on T.I. Play the second song. That's crazy.
And they're like, some distractors. And who you got? You said the distracts was great. Them distracts is garbage.
You got it. They think they can. They think they can. Like, I mean, they're not compelling districts.
That's what it would be with all the rest of the districts. That's what it is. You're identifying 50. You just throw it.
I don't identify 50. You are. You are. You are.
I don't. I don't identify 50. You are. Quarter water.
But, yeah. And that's just crazy. I got video on Dancing in Jared Truck to I'm serious. I'm sorry.
I told you I like to. I'm serious. I told you. That's my favorite T.I album.
We just had this conversation. Last time we had a broadcast. What's the broadcast? The broadcast.
Yeah. Anyway, T.I. won. Moving along.
Well, it has something about white vacationers. I wanted to see what your thoughts were. I mean, I think it's a thing that keeps on coming up. Especially recently since it's Black History Month.
I know so white vacationers basically, I'm correct, and they're white folks that vacation is black and then return home eventually to their whiteness. So mostly the richest, mostly the richest. We're talking about white people who come and culturally appropriate black people, whether it's hip-hop, whether it's black women, whether it's think the Travis Kelsey. Think Travis Kelsey's of the world.
They come, they parade as black people to get whatever value that they can and they leave. Yeah. I also think of Jelly Roll. Jelly Roll being a trumpet in shakami.
Because I'm from Africa. He is. OK. Because the thing about it, I don't know how many white folks who grew up around there were cornrows.
But all the white folks that grew up around there were cornrows back in the 90s ended up being like, Magga's hook. So the white man was a little bit of a little bit of a rose. Mark did not have cornrows, but he also wasn't like a white vacation. He reveled in his whiteness.
He loved being white. I saw he liked to call people. He was like a white nationalist. Yeah, so it was a little bit.
Like a white nationalist. So the thing is, right? Because Jelly Roll is from right outside of the nation. So he followed in the footsteps of another fat white rapper named Haystack from Nashville.
For those who were familiar. Yeah, you just can't trust niggas, right? Like you can't trust niggas with cornrows. So yeah, when they go with cornrows, you can't trust that motherfuckers either.
So it's just one of those things like niggas are putting profit over people again, right? So Jelly Roll knows who his core audience is. If he's a true trumpet, who knows? You know what I'm saying?
But he knows where his red butter is. Is these white motherfuckers and these Christian motherfuckers who fuck with them? Jelly, listen, most white people who have all white fitted hats are usually down for the calls, right? So like those are the white mics of the neighborhood and shit like that, you know what I'm saying?
So I'm not sure what Jelly Roll really is into, you know what I'm saying? Because I, who knows, right? I see where I'm niggas too. But you know, if you stand enough for the trumpet shit, even if it's a profit thing, you're on the other side.
So I don't fuck with you. You know what I'm saying? But just new dogs and with her, my honey is that fucking sea load. I'm switched over and did some concert or some shit for Trump.
Motherfucking CeeLo Green from Goodie Mom, Megan, now I can't fuck with you either. It's just saying, but I'm gonna make it a short. CeeLo, CeeLo's a better rapper than Tia. Oh!
CeeLo's a pretty good rapper. He's a pretty good thing. He's a good rapper. He's a better rapper.
He's a better rapper. He's a better rapper. I mean, I'm just saying as we continue that as a rabbit hole, we're getting closer and closer to 15 minutes. Just saying.
Okay. We are like 12 right now. Just saying. You're at 12.
I gave you all 12. I said, yes I said you're at 12. Everybody agree with your Twil. Who am I talking about?
What you did in the movie? The future? The future. developed.
Okay, I'm happy to do. I love theres one of my favorite rappers, but you don't rap better than Tia. I think he does. He's like an enerrer.
I would rather listen up that ten times that 15 and over. Fucking Tia. It's to me. When I talk about it.
Okay. What we talking about. They bettered it doesn't include what you listen to. What is it?
Can we talk about J-Co? What's the metrics? Can we talk about J-Co. Let's talk about J-Co!
Let's talk about J-Co! I'm not about to kick for J. Cole. Jermaine Jermaine is a great rapper.
I was like standing rapper. I was saying it rapper horrible arbor He's not horrible. He's just J. Cole.
It's You gotta stay in the way The reason why I think he's a horrible artist is because we're seeing him stripped down of all other well not all but most other influences outside of just him Like he's basically said I'm gonna do this by myself on my last one This is gonna be me it's gonna be naked or whatever I'm producing a lot of it even though he does have some help and it didn't get better No, it's a say what's gonna get out J. Cole happens with you get out there to J. Cole out and it's just a couple listens And then okay like you want to hear what he has to say and it says it very well, but J. Cole should have followed the kindred plan Kindred needed to Kendrick Kendrick did whatever he needed to do before GNX whatever fuck that was called to Solidify himself as a lyricist from a talent standpoint, but he needed the banger.
He needed the Appeal on both sides of the aisle, especially fucking with Drake all the distortion. He brought it mustard And he brought in the white boy. Yeah, the white boy and the mustard to me mustard and the white boy to make sure the album was What it was it was a smashing success commercial I mean, I mean, yeah I mean no, this would have been cool if this was your third album and you're just experimenting or whatever your last album It should have been all over shit or something like You could have been must be just been weird, but like hit boy should have been all over this or Mike will made it whoever right? They should have been all over it and it should have been a Intribute to your entire career.
It's put Petey Pablo on a track You know I'm saying like it should have been like an homage to your entire career looking back You know saying bangers like there should have been some singles that are gonna come out of this senior singles that we're gonna remember And we didn't get that at all. He said it didn't fucking the black out You know, I'm like Jay Z will get the best one the best, you know what I'm saying and the irony of it being called the fall off me is I Need to listen to it Great rapper, but I like We're talking about a drink right it's like where's the growth like you're still the nigga from Fayetteville Right who saw all the things happen and you're like it's like you're just leaving Fayetteville still like you just left Fayetteville right to leave and go to better things But you don't talk about none of the better things like just a right round in the Honda on the bike like trying to find yourself And we think that was a decade ago night. Where are you at now? We need another Friday night lights honestly But my thing is you should if you want to just stop rapping It sounds like he just wants to not rap anymore because I feel like most Rappers you hear nowadays are these 40 plus rappers who are kind of introspective because they lived an experienced life He hasn't experienced all that at this what was like 33 34.
There's a gap there Sorry, I call is 41 years old The fall off is supposed to be showing because he's the best like No Right But he does have like his fan base in his fan base like Born shoot I mean I guess not all I have an uncomfortable life. He's got the same fucking story arc as not and I guess he's okay with that You know, but I guess it's how interesting at least I don't know I mean, but it's I mean the things that we say about J. Cole are very much the things that people said about not as But now they give us more hits. I think in J.
Cole, but yes, what do you think yes? You know, but we still said the same thing about not But even but even but even not as bad Songs or bad beats on a still way more interesting than J. Cole. Oh absolutely absolutely without question That negative that negative sound like a nigga from the neighborhood.
They give you a CD This thing can wrap like a slaughterhouse mixtape or something I hate it with rapper start making a little beats like give it to somebody else up Marching cadences right and bullshit. That's a mistake for Yeah, anyway, so No, I don't think that I don't think that because he's still a good rapper I think he still has something to prove now like this this album wasn't received I want to see what is he gonna have to do to overcome because now he's got two strikes You have to do a nice You have to pull a nod to take a take a beat and then bring in a hit boy bringing like a top tier producer and really put together Craft a real album like when you're just kind of in a bubble and you're doing showing your own From our artistic standpoint you kind of fucking yourself anyway, like I think the best albums are collaborative even What's the name of his return of the revenge of the dreamers or something like that that compilation album? They did that was a great album I just be like Interesting at the end of the day. You know It's pretty interesting artists around him like he has That would make you can be around the funniest thing is in the world.
They don't make you funny You know I'm saying you need to work with them niggas to put together something better Like like how you gonna be in the same room with you? Did I want the best album pleasure to me and like that's the shit you put out? I don't know but the thing is like that nigga that nigga has started doing like his features He was body and features two years ago Shut up the mic look cuz he wanted to tell me how good J. Cole.
I never make a sense but But he was doing it a little British thing with a little chick and that he was smoking some features I just don't think that he needs somebody to help him with concepts Maybe you know I'm saying like he need to get the what that's what Kendrick got the white boy and mustard to work Playing the whole fucking album code in to none of that like this nigga didn't try to do the group project all by himself And we saw what that's because the Carolina needs to go ahead. I tell you North Carolina's not the sound that's the problem See he's stuck in like this middle place, right? He doesn't feel he doesn't feel to the south and he doesn't he doesn't want to go full East Coast So that he just so let me ask you all the questions I wrestle with this sometimes so what is the South East South of all South? What is what is what is the South East South?
What is the Pope? What's sound? What is the oh no no no like? What is the mecca like what is the soul of the south?
When you think of the South like where's what is mecca? Jack I mean I'm gonna be a lot of bad. I'm gonna be able to I'm gonna be able to talk about music No, no, I'm talking about the south because I mean come because we see all these maps on the top Virginia Virginia not to solve no more Maryland's not the South North Carolina's not the South South Carolina I feel like South Carolina has to be the mecca the South people say that's not even the mecca the South so okay So wait it's I think it was between this and Jackson like it's there. It's over there Well, I think it said like the first time I went to fucking drove through Mississippi I was like where the fuck am I so is that what makes things southern out and to the fact that it's just Mean I get that part I'm just like what is we know we know Florida south of what Gainesville.
Hey, it's time Hey Okay Bad Getting younger because villages was originally a retirement community where they were speaking out about pants They guess what chef is referring to So now though they're saying that the average age is getting younger and they didn't speak on like the sensual part of it But they were like yeah, you know as some of I guess original residents I'll call it are getting older like health care and all this stuff is becoming a thing So people are moving into this community to provide like services Like millennials Like um my job has office in Rancho Bernardo, California, which is a suburb of San Diego So I mentioned that somebody's like oh that's like you got to wear the retirees and when I thought about it I you go like just around town. That's all you see is much older folks South of Between Orlando and in Ocala Yeah, they just opened a hooters yesterday and there was a line wrapped around the corner I'm all about this morning, bro. It sounds like that show. What's your show HBO the hotel thing?
Yeah, they should do a season of white lones where it's like in the villages that we don't Just a bunch of old freaky white folks and someone does it like I see here someone's long gets me up because I see That's fine. Anyway, I know we like we're time check. I know we went we're off like I enjoy the conversation You're right tell us about punch the monkey So there's a zoo in Japan right that everybody's up in arms about because there's this little cute little monkey man And he keeps getting rejected by the pack so like big ass looking monkeys like be bobbing on ahead and like toss him around It was real fucked up. So fuck me.
He has like a safety stuff animal monkey Which makes it that even sad and like I was triggered because I'm very like pro animal man And I don't like to see any animal abuse first of all and I don't like bullies You know I'm saying so anytime I see anybody getting bullied by you know humans animals anything. I don't fuck with man so You know people were really really up in arms about it and you got some people saying like well This is the way that the pack you know, this is just Circle of life with just animal kingdom type shit, but now man, I know monkey with that little pet monkey that I can I can do it I mean, you know, they just ready to strap up and take it take to have it 13 I would fly to Japan again, but as of today It's like they have moved young punch and I thought it was again fucked up that the monkey's name was punched and he kept getting punched on You know, we glad that punch is safe now man. So just want to put that out there for those who didn't punch punch watch it You know what I'm saying? And I think this is who is fucked up cuz I think Because you could watch I think it was like one of those 24 hour fucking Feeds we could just look at it, you know, and I think we're getting so much attention that they kind of let this get rad a little Too long, you know, I'm saying like oh shit, you know, now that's not what it will look like it yet, man But yeah, shout out to a child of monkey levels niggas Bro really bro really is I was a real name Speaking of real is I think she'll take care of her parents.
You don't take care of them. They all live in bed and live in poverty because you don't send enough Brit and there was a lot of backlash and she eventually started monetizing this movement by Selling interviews basically just shit on her sister, which is terrible. So the question for the group was what do you owe? Stuff family members like what do you really owe them?
I said what do you owe your stuff? What do you owe your family members if you've garnered a certain amount of success and they haven't gotten there now? I think this is I can't really I can't relate obviously my sister's doing really well, but I'm just trying to think of In terms of everyone just being adults I thought it was strange for another adult to ask for your ass another adult to take care of them Especially if it's like I think it's like really like the youngest thing she's like the baby sister Like how does it look asking for your younger sister to take care of you if you're a grown able-bodied person I don't agree with it personally. Maybe I need more context.
I just thought it was a strange request So Growing up I used to I guess like he a kid probably like tanner Let me hear though like damn so so rich or whatever like you might hear about some celebrities I'm making this up, but my joint brother down ban on what I'm like. I was my one. I was brother whatever so as I got older and Became an adult and realized certain shit that be going on and happens and all of that. It's like I get it like some people Like say our able-bodied had the same opportunities blue opportunities Not good with being responsible or whatever the case might be like any number of those things and so That's part of it.
Then also it's like Kind of like the relativity of it all like if you making $7 an hour and I got a quote-unquote good job and I'm making 20 with shit I mean yeah, I got more than you but when I was an hour ain't a whole hell of a lot You know I'm saying so in the margin how much could I really help you? You know saying even if I wanted to but without that being said sometimes Just literally shit happens. You know I'm saying so I don't think it's anything wrong with helping somebody if you can and Circumstances and situations allow for it. You know I'm saying but as far as quote-unquote owing somebody like if nobody Gave you anything you don't really owe anybody shit like me for an example I spent a lot of time growing up with like my eyes and I'm they're like pick us up from school Let's be a meme I suppose to pick us up from school like take us home feed us like whatever case might be so when I had more Means like when I graduated from college.
I try to like look out and do shit for them You know I'm saying like fix stuff around the house or just whatever the eyeball stuff might come up that I think it's just all on a case-by-case basis essentially Right so Right The truth is some people can't handle responsibility. So if I give you $10,000 today, you might not have 9,000 tomorrow, you know I'm saying you could be the one that treats off the bag So I can't give you anybody because what the fuck you gonna do it? You gonna buy some rims with it and be like on my door again. So that's why we're really whatever they call them Stuffs of the Christ Right, like oh you really got to win that deserves the money You know I'm saying like you out here spreading rumors and doing all this shit like This is probably the type of person you've been my whole life So why would I give you any money for any reason you know what I'm saying because some of my other Simmons came out like that, you know, he she retired mom.
She retired daddy, you know whatever So yeah, I think like to say it's a case-by-case basis some people some people aren't good with money You know what I'm saying like why not give me up and be like hey is there a job? I can do you know what I'm saying hey, can I be your role something? You know what I'm saying, but this is the role This is a you know, this is a pathway she wants to go by like the fame in my name and fucking doing all this bullshit And now what the fuck she's doing like club appearances and all that all that quick money shit You know what I'm saying that they'll give you $2,000 today But that's it like a once you do whatever look club it I want you again man and not to mention you a stud get out there and get it You're saying little man fuck like put your nose to the grindstone and like fingers will cut hell or whatever You know I'm saying I had a little bird how to fight HVAC technician like do something but you can't be no stud out here Big, you know Does I know no Yeah, she also looks like oh a realtor too, so that's not a good that's not a good job Okay, nothing good no comments I don't know about nobody nothing about my money. That's it.
So I don't fuck about nobody else like it's not even a conversation I hope you I don't know you know what all you we parallel we peers what about you some foot? Yeah, I like it. I definitely help you out I think I thought I think it was a good rule of thumb in general. Yeah So um I know you had a you got a letter or a question from a listener.
Did you wanna? We can do it? I mean I forgot Wanna be featured on ask before a friend shoot us an email and with all due respect with a K and gmail calm If you're asking for a friend is hot enough, it'll be featured on the show Oh, yeah So the question from the people out there and it reaches so all right one All right random question. Do you think Fannie was the best place to find a partner and bonus is there anyone you slept on no names?
So wait, what do you mean slept on? I think slept on means two different things you think you said there's one that got away Is that You think oh, okay shit, I wish I would know Well, I'll start I'll start off So What's been you the best place to find a partner? I don't know if it's the best place to find a partner But I think it was a great place to find a partner, right? I say maybe not the best because family does have a culture of drinking smoking and fucking right It just is what it is.
It's Tallahassee not just any but ten hours of culture. I've been to other schools where like They don't fuck as much and it's frowned upon And we already talked about don't know about a drink as much as a fan you have you be on your third drink and a public function Somebody be on their first one and they look at you sideways So it was one of those very indulgent like if you wanted to smoke drink and fuck like families the place to go But on the other side of that coin you're also with the best and the brightest right so you with some exceptional motherfuckers at Fannie So it's just a matter of what you're looking for and like I mean at 2022 you really know what you're looking for at the time and I think that if I would have gone to like a PWI or Smaller Black College was like a fiscal university or Xavier something like that I might have probably settled down a lot sooner You know I'm saying I probably found a girlfriend to ride out with but then you end up with the what-ifs right? Then you end up going to your partner they went to venues and you go coming from your homecoming you go to family homecoming you're like Damn they're like what if I went here and like you know you start second guessing like maybe I haven't lived enough life That's when you try to go solo so you're all out so I wasn't a fan I milk that cap you know I knew like what I wanted it what I didn't want so And it's left on I think we I think we all have Somebody came back around about you know I think in general people have it's like often say college is the best place because to your point You're gonna find a bunch of like my individuals trying to better themselves from all different lots of life from all across the country and even the world in some cases So I think college in general is a good place for that As far as a slap-dowing thing, I think you know we all have the benefit of hindsight now so you can make somebody fit in there, but I think Snipped on from perspective of like success. I don't think that's the case because again we met like these people in college and in college generally It ain't really no flucky because you're gonna be going home or whatever you know I'm saying so I think it's probably some stuff though from like a physical perspective like oh damn oh girl, you know grew up Pounds got some bad that's lost the glasses, you know I'm saying like that but And I think perspective shift after a while like you like J.
Go to such a song You start off and then smoking drinking fucking partying every night I'll kind of shit and then year three four five six infinity your interest and stuff kind of shift like oh damn I don't I don't like people from insert city here or whatever Oh, these people from this city or state are real cool I can see myself living in that place or maybe you can kind of anchor yourself to you know somebody from that area whatever So I think everybody can make a case for like slept on part But I think it's pretty solid like to try to find somebody cuz I think that Still that advice kind of still holds If you are a rattler, I don't feel that there's many places that you're gonna find somebody who kind of understands Your life in that period of time, right? Um like JJ was saying like we're we're a kick at school and It I don't know how to describe that we're kicking school There's not many other schools that kick it like the wanting the wanton use of alcohol drugs drugs other than weed Wanton sexual everything right it's literally Pretty much anything goes man, and it's it gets in that fun. There's a lot of darkness Like I know we saw a lot of addiction We saw a lot of people who didn't make it out there are people that went to fam and they're still battling some of the demons Some people haven't made it some people can't even like being fruitful for relationship because of the things that they've seen things that they've done Intatly acid right like it's just it was the best times was the worst of times because they were just so much there in this small space for all of us Just preferably to rub up against each other. So when you find a mate, it's hard for somebody to under especially Well, you go back to home coming together and when you go back to homecoming you kind of transform in some ways Back into the person that you were um And it's hard for somebody who wasn't in that to understand that like How if you're somebody who went to Howard right and you marry somebody in your relationship with somebody and you didn't know them When they had a problem with alcoholism I mean you just drink in college like what I'm about I just drinking cover I'm like you had an alcoholism problem How do you react when you go back to homecoming and that person transforms into that in some lights like how do you how do you deal with that?
or you When I had to tell us you see limits I want to sit around for some fucking reason Like I could I could go for a black right now as soon as I see I counted city limits like how do you deal with that right like if you don't come from that But Tyler has to is very much that you know I'm saying we're gonna drink we're gonna pass out in public places We'll slap the piss out somebody like it's it's just that and there's very few people I feel outside of that community that understand it. I mean I'm going to happy hours and HBCU happy hours in DC I'm like Fucking we doing everybody's like eating hors d'oeuvres and like drinking like but like to shit. I'm like what exactly are the fuck are we doing? Like where's the bottle?
Why are we not buying bottles? Why are we not? Tilt in the Tennessee bottle upside down like we're moving too slow for this shit You know say why are we not talking shit like we come in we start custom all the fuckers out like bitch I was fucking hoodie-poo fucking hood at school like why are you saying that because I can bitch like If you don't come from that, how do you understand that? So it makes sense that I mean a lot of time rattlers end up with other rattlers or rattler adjacent people Because I'm really the only people I can understand you As far as lepton I mean, it's impossible not to sleep on somebody I mean there's too there's too much going on and too many people for you to have Jumped on everything or have seen everything you got people there are people in colleges like Nursing or pharmacy that you may have never seen because they was in they program They're they're tucked away in a part of campus.
You've never seen before in your life You may have seen them once or twice at whatever party and never again and then you see them again like at the at the day of Luna Picnic or whatever city when you like oh shit, I had no idea. I only saw you in a light pharmacy coat, right? It's just it is what it is. I mean, it's impossible to have seen everybody in town.
It's just so many people So far the first question I think that was the task for me like well my story was when I was going to college I you and my father was like I'm not you going to fam because you bring a white girl One plus one don't equal like for you know I'm like you don't bring on white girls like now you might though and we listen let's eliminate the risk So like I went to fam anyway, you don't find a wife. They're like I found a mom I'm like, you know, that's what you do. You know saying go to college and find find you white Smart girl and get get together and have kids on it Now I did meet my wife technically at fam like in Tallahassee We were in Tallahassee and she came from a school to a party that we had on campus, but I Think it's I mean that should be the goal like just defines on this place here equal in that sense I do understand what would say as far as the cultural piece because I think you have to but you get that If you find someone that's adjacent or understands it, you know, I'm saying so that's what I did in my particular case So I get that part of it and I agree I think it's um You know, I also think it's just like Because it is like my issue was like I dated that girlfriend to fam But it was so competitive then like I saw a pie I remember a tweet that applies to you like one of the best tweets ever and he said that I think it's true I had up this negative said That family pussy is a different kind of pussy everybody going to fam know how to fuck And it's it is true and so yes, it's like a people's getting a soul's taking They was getting fucked around like it was it was a real wild place, you know saying so Especially in the 2000 I think there was something about that decade that was very toxic Like we were having a time of our lives, but it was between the the mollies and the not really going class good and just going wild and It was mutual it was a mutual thing. It wasn't like we was all toxic like it was like a situation where we're gonna delineate between men and women It was all everyone's what that was real cool.
I thought it was a real cool time. It was like But because of that I think what kind of different sway me was was that culture, you know saying cuz everybody was on bullshit Like and and it was fun by you was fun. You were having a time where I was like, I'm an overgrads Like I had a great time. So I think maybe it was like, I mean, I'm by the wife none of these motherfuckers So that was all thing Really Straight a skis like you know saying now they all either they still single, but they still a great way still single So I'm really found God got real real real really just like I love that.
I'm happy. We all love Jesus for real for real and that's dope So that's it's not a situation where I feel like Because I think it implies a great way to be like oh It was a place was it was it the best place to find a partner I think it was answer was it was because you're like minded folks Mine is no cuz y'all fucked up If you're a rattler, it's the best place if you're not a rather If you were not a good place for you, this is not gonna hit well and And I agree with like you go to other HBC you it don't even it feels weird it does feel weird because it's so Different culturally that's like you feel like you're almost on a foreign Like on another planet. They feel so right Yeah, but the other question like I like everyone who's like where they are they're pointing life I'm not shocked like I we were in classes and got the encounter some like most brilliant people black people on the planet Like everybody's doing great and very in degree. So where everyone is it doesn't like I'm not like oh my god I expected everyone to be doing what they're doing in different sorts of ways and driving So I guess I don't see I haven't been shot by any of it Other schools by I impressed my family to whatever that's why like yeah, it was bullshit But they really deep down the impress like I've heard people from but don't say that like I mean every one thing about people from family I'll I don't get it.
I've heard them say that verbally before and the thing is like only account most folks from fam Like I think I think we all come off like I don't think we like I think we're all confident But we're not like stuck up acting like we're talking to you We are talking It's like a down to earth But they still feel down to earth in a way that I don't I don't think it's down to earth I think it's not it's like that It's like that country family Who talks shit, you know if you fight one of them you got to fight like 30 motherfuckers like They daddy's the pastor He owned the funeral home like don't fuck you got to fight the whole guy damn family, but they good they go to school You know say they do this school work, you know, but they loud I think in comparison someone's with the more house like you know what I'm saying they're Their confidence comes off a little more I think family people are pretentious. I think a lot of confidence a lot of cocky this you know what I'm saying Well, I don't think we lead with it. I think it becomes up. It was just a bad But I'll I feel like maybe this is my own my own view of him I feel like people feel like we're not one of the refined schools I don't know why they don't feel that way I feel like because they can't get with me We had a party school of reputation for sure But but if we get our seat together Yeah, I remember when I started my job like we had trained in it with somebody from University of Arizona, Arizona State Georgia Tech Purdue and somewhere else and Like that shit didn't bother me.
I never really even thought about it But like after the fact the trainer was like I was his and shoulders above my interest in a class And if you look at it on paper people Nine times out of ten unless you went to HBCU, you're probably gonna choose one of those P.W. I was like you just lay these credentials and stuff out they'll take the old producer great engineers go Georgia Tech Why don't I take some of that from family? You see I is you know, I'm saying Man, when the mayor's on the schools is a party school though I feel like all the P.W. I have their party schools That's all I gotta say to about just the city of town the Hasty Yeah, city of town I see enhances family because you got Florida State right there and so you kind of you can get like a full Experience coming from the family side.
I don't think that the Florida State people got full HBCU experience coming to the set on Fridays, but it Like people oh yeah, I used to be honest it I used to come to brag so a lot more to it than that Yeah, like I actually wear the class one day with one of my home boys from high school at Florida State And it was like the college that you see on TV like we're in this big-ass stadium style classroom Like it don't know y'all or whatever you can't go in doubt a human weight office and like talk to them and chill You know like right the case might be so it was a completely different experience, but I see I think it's just damn and I mean of course I'm biased, but it's like perfect college town. I feel like Yes, indeed But you're taking five thousand word play Jesse Jackson That man's they don't sound like a way to take him Jesse You rock with this is from the podcast obviously you like something go ahead visit Apple iTunes Spotify Stitcher our hard video show your love show your support. We love providing quality content for you guys We do it absolutely free of charge We do have the kindness of our heart But the way that you increase our footprint increase the popularity of this podcast is to support follow us on Facebook Instagram Twitter And as always if your shit is hot enough, it just might be on the show now for the with all due respects go ahead With all due respect I've been I know we're all dealing with a lot in terms of like the economy and the presidency and the in the racism and the fuck shit So the way my brain works and maybe it's a situation where it might be a sense of like a bit of insanity is I have to find ways That dissociate from from wherever's going on now during the pandemic My former dissociation was watching family matters every day and family matters is a terrible show I didn't I didn't realize it as a child, but it's probably where I show they'll never made on television So I don't watch family matters anymore. In fact, it probably I don't say gives me the it cutting It's a weird phrase, but it does it does make me feel very it makes me feel physically ill To watch family matters.
I guess I associated with that time in this line So found different ways to dissociate and what I've been doing recently is I've been watching the fuck out of old television Like I've been watching Hang out with mr. Cooper for some reason And I've been watching a lot of soul training like I want soul training every day and when I say soul training I'm talking like very specifically soul training from like 1981 to 1988 like you get all that shit on on YouTube and Because soul training provides a few things they get all the all the this now Just from all the old music, which I love like I hear all the shit like all the beast side I play a bunch of bullshit on soul training. I don't play all I call the hits So that was the one thing but then the other piece is they get all the old Jerry curl commercials and all the old Coke and and and Donald's commercial where niggies where suits going Donald's like in essence of I've so You know share with me. No, thank you.
Hit me up. Let me know how y'all dissociate like I feel like I'm not alone in this. I feel like everyone has their different methods aside for maybe drug use Which is also convenient, but let me know how y'all associated when dealing with these times And if you're not let me know that too because maybe you need some help With all due respect rappers better than ti Lil Wayne B boy three stacks future Trik nanny Missy Elliott Scarface Pimp C. Bumbie push a tee J Cole C.
Lo Devin to do MJ G TI comes in at number 15 with all due respect Without respect fuck with this without Just gonna remind everybody man tomorrow is not promised That's a lot of my focus who woke up dead this morning who had big plans of doing XYZ They might have passed up hanging out with their friends this past weekend because he had some work to do XYZ blah blah blah blah Tomorrow's our promise man enjoy the day. I know it's cliche that the presence is the present, but it's the truth You know There's been a lot of people dying around our age. I know a fam they had Alpha came in with me and they lost a line brother I know a couple of Delta lines have lost a couple of lines you know I'm saying And these appears you know and you just never know what was going on people's bodies, you know People Cancer is taking out more people you know everybody knows about his dad of cancer, you know gone too soon So in even with this administration like who knows man might go to war with Iran They get you know what I'm saying like who knows when the bombs are dropped. So why you hear man enjoy every second man You know milk that cow like I was talking about earlier man if you can like take that trip go see that movie Hang out with your kids go to the games like because you never know The date of our with all the respect without the respect Times are changing a lot of growth a lot of things are just different now Like I ran across an article that the tech buildings at found you are being demolished and It's kind of odd because after a while like you just get so used to stuff like I remember growing up I would see different stuff and like kind of take a mental picture of the world around you and like I didn't never think Oh, well, this building is going to be destroyed or this building that used to be a grocery store is now a church or it's church Used to be a nightclub etc.
So it's kind of interesting to watch that I was reading the comments under the article about the tech building a lot of people especially like people from 70s and 80s I mean, I don't even know that Family was gonna look like anything from what when I went there. So I think it's important to Maintain some of the historical buildings and stuff which to me the tech buildings didn't fall under I was kind of had an issue with how the buildings look and some of the equipment and that's it was like it was always I was at the thought like it was supposed to be You know, you're turning out all these high-tech producers and scholars etc. Whatever the right word is but Everybody else was getting like new buildings and new computers and all that so that was part of shit the curriculum really like just the grit and the grind and being in that That we called it the dungeon because it was like dark and dank in that building, but Yeah, so I'll be to the tech buildings and hopefully they come back with some new futuristic shit That really looks like a computer science type of program with others
