She spent five years living abroad in Italy, Spain, and England, where she ran her own British cupcake business before returning to the US to complete her California teaching credential. Shelley has since taught in San Diego County schools and runs her own tutoring business, specializing in academic life organization and tutoring all subjects with an emphasis on Spanish and Mathematics for students from elementary to college level, including those with IEPs and 504 plans.
