Adam Preston sets out to hit a six in a proper cricket match despite a whole host of reasons why this is highly unlikely to happen. In this episode we learn the background to this 'impossible dream', discover the cricket club in the hamlet near where Adam lives and start to understand Adam's complicated and not altogether healthy relationship with competitive sport, with its foundations in a chequered school career.   We meet a huge Dutchman who encourages Adam to return, after almost thirty years, to the sport that he once found dull, humiliating and frustrating. Finally lured into a session at the nets, Adam starts wielding a bat and a ball once again - and is taken a significant step closer to tasting the glory that has always eluded him.

Woori EM NYC Jesus Who? podcast seeks to provide a perspective of what it's like living as young Christians in NYC -the real & raw aspects, the joy & goodness along with the struggles & the pains. We wish to start conversations and share insight on how Christianity is beyond what you see solely in the media. This podcast was started as a way of contributing to the renovation of the gym into a chapel where we worship through our church’s Vision 2020 of RE:building, RE:starting, RE:doing. More importantly, we are six hosts from unique backgrounds and a church that desire to share and spread the gospel! The Joy of Leadership Brent Neilsen We believe that Leadership is not magical. It is not something you have to be born into. In fact it is something we all do. Everyone of us leads Everyday. Finding the great leader inside us is less about learning how to lead, and more about learning where we should lead. WHAT BRINGS YOU PASSION? WHAT BRINGS YOU JOY? That is where you will find your leadership. The Joy of Writing Podcast Jake Kerr Hi, I'm Jake Kerr—Nebula, Sturgeon Memorial, and StorySouth award-nominated author of science fiction and fantasy. Although I'm a writer, one of my favorite creative memories of my youth was watching Bob Ross and The Joy of Painting. I loved the way he would talk me through every moment as he created an amazing work of art.My Joy of Writing podcast is my homage to Bob Ross. It is meant to be inspirational to those that want to learn to write as well as be fun for those who want to experience the creative process. On my Twitch channel, I talk through my thoughts as I write a novel. In my podcast, I take a story idea and write it while outlining the process out loud. In both cases, it is very similar to Bob Ross and The Joy of Painting, and that's obviously not an accident. For those who want to be writers, I hope this inspires you to immerse yourself in the writing process. Most writing lectures and books simply explain the rules and the guidelines. My hope is to show you exactly ho The Joy of Marriage/Singles Consulting The Joy of Marriage/Singles Consulting This podcast is about how to make Relationships-Marriages or Single-hood work in the times we live in.
