Jesus said, ‘The time is now, and the kingdom of God is within your reach; change your mind and trust this good news.’ (see Mark 1:15) John the Baptist’s and Jesus’s message were the same, “the kingdom of God is within reach. Take hold!” John came baptizing in water to prepare us to be baptized by Jesus in the Holy Spirit and fire. John prepared people by letting them know the Kingdom of God was near. Jesus wanted us to know it had arrived and would soon be within us. Think of it this way: if something is within reach, you can take hold of it. So it is with this good news. Jesus said, “Just as Father has loved me, I love you. Don’t move from My love.” Changing your mind and trusting this good news is a good idea. Father, I change my mind and accept Your kingdom of love right here and now and now and now…
