The DUI accident happened on Super Bowl Sunday, 2006, and the victim, Jason Gibson, was Jabe's friend. Jabe's current release date is in 2027.Jabe filed for clemency in 2019. But the Clemency Board has yet to make a decision in his case. The victim's sisters, Katherine and Danyel, have forgiven Jabe for their brother's death and support his early release.
