*I Knew You Were Trouble When You Walked In*
from Have You Ever One-dered?? · host wheres.chloe.media
We’re back on the albums again! Part Thirteen, 180-171. I knew I was never going to make it through everything because there was so much and certain things needed to take a little extra time, and rightly so! This week features Nick Drake, Missy Elliott, Taylor Swift, and seven other artists to continue this massive undertaking. Hmm, who else could there be? ;) ***There are some particularly dark themes in this one, be careful with your mental health as you listen.*** These are high octane shows, but hopefully it’s a ride worth taking. It’s still not too late to go back to the beginning of June and join in from the start. You’re welcome anytime! As often happens, I let Poetry Time go from the live broadcast, but below is the one I chose for today: _____________________________________ Routine In the bliss of routine —coffee, love, pond afternoons, poems— we feel we will live Forever, until we know we feel it. by Donald Hall _____________________________________ - Oh it’s a major endeavor, alright. I’m going to try to listen to at least 10 albums a week for the rest of the year! Yeah, I’m not joking. Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to. And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews. Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process) - If we keep up with an episode per week featuring 10 albums each, we’ll just about finish by the end of 2024. We’re doing this! Yay!! Thrilled you’re along for the ride. Always always glad to have you here, please keep taking care of yourself, C
