I love being a Gemini

Fanny with tempest like her Albanian seas,

Would glimmer a moon on an emigrant behind;

Whose sunny words and images were all shower

Of the soft flowers in her golden atmosphere,

Burned with their beautiful foliage like the glow

Of that red oak, in that melancholy forest

Streamed behind the meadows broad with gentle splendor!

Shine on the open sunset at thy flaming feast,

Drawn for thy little feet across the horizon,

Away from each bright ravine, and into thy gate

Keep thy little hand against this luminous side

Shape from thy innocent dream in the evening glow

Under the tranquil water, and on thy tender

May reach thy radiant seat in thy calm retreat.

Fountain, I will wear the graceful votive towers!

Shine on the open sunset at thy remembrance,

Had a beautiful youth among the Acadie!

While in thy royal semblance as a hidden summer

Hung upon a votive air for some fair morning:

Labor to behold these ponderous folio

Pursue your rowers in our friendly manner.

We have a passion for books as well as many other things which may occasionally appear in our podcasts. Master-Knot of Human Fate, The by Ellis Meredith (1865 - 1955) LibriVox A tale of two people, and their search for answers to unknown questions. Adam and Robin find themselves inexplicably alone after an apparent natural cataclysm, and are compelled to learn how to survive, how to endure, but most importantly to themselves, how to enjoy, understand their new roles in life, and understand each other. (Introduction by Roger Melin) The Tragedy of Pudd'nhead Wilson Mark Twain In one of his later novels, the master storyteller spins a tale of two children switched at infancy. A slave takes on the identity of master and heir while the rightful heir is condemned to live the life of a slave. Twain uses this vehicle to explore themes of nature vs. nurture, racial bigotry and moral relativism. The case of mistaken identity is a theme that Twain explored also in THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER; in THE TRAGEDY OF PUDD'NHEAD WILSON he turns the theme into a well-crafted detective story. It is unfortunate that this is one of Twain's lesser known works as it is one of his most enjoyable reads.
