I Miss You Halloween Special 2025! - Kids Horror TV Shows with Johanna Lyon! (feat Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark?)

Last year it was kids horror movies. This year it's kids horror TV shows. The twist? This time we are joined by the wonderfully spooky Johanna Lyon! Before diving into the episodes, we started by talking about the appeal of scary stories for kids and whether they're ever appropriate. Turns out they might be?In Goosebumps, we follow kid who falls into a superhero's lair. In Are You Afraid of the Dark, we get a twofer: a creepy down and a creepy clown (and an annoying shit of a kid, too). And as a warm up, we watched a short Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids episode about a sulky little fella named Simon. All pretty fun!Find out more about Jo here: https://www.johannalyon.com/The episodes we watched:Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids - “Simon Sulk”https://youtu.be/VxkSHxKcldw?feature=sharedGoosebumps - “Attack of the Mutant”https://youtu.be/fyZxRS6qv4w?si=rbsxONf07UavxaxvAre You Afraid of the Dark? - “The Tale of the Crimson Clown”https://youtu.be/JXel9Xkv8Aw?feature=shared And our Get Amongst It suggestion this week… a whole bunch of kids horror-ish stuff:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freaky_(TV_series)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeopardy_(BBC_TV_series)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaahh!!!_Real_Monstershttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welcome_to_Dead_Househttps://goosebumps.fandom.com/wiki/Say_Cheese_and_Die!https://goosebumps.fandom.com/wiki/Monster_Blood_(book)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_Street_(film_series) Contact us at [email protected] Our socialsfacebook.com/imissyoumanpodinstagram.com/imissyoumanpodtwitter.com/imissyoumanpodAnd you can follow this link to rate the podcast!
