I Need to Start Caring Less About Politics

I realized something this morning about politics. I need to quit caring so much about it. I had just wrapped up a wonderful conversation on the Substack Live I did with my friend Eevie and her husband, Derek. They’re so much fun. We had a blast just bullshitting and laughing together. I came out of it feeling rejuvenated and happy. Those feelings have sort of been few and far between for me, as of late. I put 80 to 85 hours a week into my Substack and all that goes along with it. That takes a toll on my mental health. I don’t enjoy reading about, writing about, and talking about Donald Douchecanoe constantly. He demands so much attention with his bullshit daily drama. I need to stop giving him so much of my time. There are far better things to think about and do than constantly feed into his crap. This doesn’t mean that I’m giving up on covering politics. Quite the opposite. But I realize that I need to cover other topics to better entertain you all. And to keep my mental health balanced. I talk about this in today’s podcast episode. I appreciate you lending me your ears on this one. It means the world to me to have people who care about my well-being.
