I Never Identified as a Child of Immigrant Parents with Evelin Andrade Ep. 63

from Immigrant Stories | The American Dream in The Eyes of Immigrants · host Heidy De La Cruz

Welcome to episode 63 of The American Dream in The Eyes of Immigrants Podcast. I am your host, Heidy De La Cruz, and I am on a mission to change the narrative of immigration one immigrant story at a time! Today’s guest is Evelin Andrade, founder of Ir Al Sol Swimwear. She shares her story of growing up in Queens, New York, with immigrant Colombian parents. Starting at the age of eight, she and her sisters would spend the summers in Colombia. Evelin shares the first culture shocks she experienced during the summers in Colombia and the great memories of playing soccer in the rain.  In this episode, Evelin shares how she started her Swimwear Ir Al Sol and what inspired her to make these Colombian customwear swimsuits!
