La Cina compie settant'anni: il 1° ottobre 1949 il rivoluzionario Mao Zedong annunciava la nascita della Repubblica Popolare Cinese, mettendo fine a una lunga guerra civile. Si tratta di una delle date più importanti del XX e addirittura del XXI secolo. La “Voce della Storia” analizza i primi 70 anni della Cina e tutte le sue trasformazioni con Romeo Orlandi, direttore di Osservatorio Asia. Lo scorso primo ottobre, a Pechino, in occasione di questo anniversario si è svolta la più grande parata militare mai organizzata in Cina: 15mila soldati e più di 500 mezzi militari e armamenti hanno sfilato in piazza Tienanmen e 160 aerei hanno sorvolato la manifestazione. Il presidente Xi Jinping ha dato inizio alle celebrazioni con un discorso sulla crescita economica e sul ruolo del partito nel favorirla: «Nessuno può mettere in discussione lo status di questa grande nazione.
