I Think I Fell in Love With San Diego 😅 | Birthday Trip Recap Pt. 2

Part 2 of the San Diego birthday recap and baby… we were OUTSIDE! 😂Day 2 took me to the zoo where I somehow spent almost SIX HOURS and walked SEVEN MILES?! But honestly, I could’ve stayed even longer. The orangutans and elephants were easily my favorites. There was something so peaceful about just sitting there, watching them, admiring them and being completely present in the moment. And somehow, the day got even better ending it at the beach watching the sunset. 🌅Day 3 was officially BEACH DAYYY! 🌊 So much fun swimming, playing in the waves and just letting the ocean do what the ocean does. It also had me thinking about how much I want more Black people to learn how to swim—not just for safety, but so we can experience the freedom, joy and healing that comes with being in the water. There’s something about the ocean that just does it for me.Then came the nightlifeeeee 😂 From getting to meet my FAVORITE DJ, Mike O’Leary, to the sweetest surprise from my lady friend that I absolutely was not expecting… San Diego just kept showing out. 🥹And because we booked a late flight home, we basically got a whole mother day out of our last day! 😂 Riding electric bikes by the marina, having lunch on the water, and grabbing beers at my first lesbian bar, Gossip Grill. 🍻🏳️‍🌈This trip was fun, beautiful, freeing and full of moments I’ll remember forever.
