from You Don’t Know Anything About Women: Dating Stories and Advice · host Roy Calvin | Dating Advice

Here's who I'm giving REAL dating advice for men to in this episode:- A guy who thinks he got ghosted after a 6 weeks of dating (but I'm not so sure).- A guy who is thinking about ending it with the girl he's been dating because she doesn't meet up frequently enough (he should take a lesson from her approach to dating).- A guy who received the ol' "let's just be friends" text message and wants to know the best response.- A guy who handed a note to a girl who was working that asked her to hang out sometime (what did he expect her to do?)-  A depressed guy that is considering quitting his meds because the girl he's dating was shocked when he told her.Subscribe for more Reddit dating stories, dating advice for men, and dating tips.Message me or support the show: https://linktr.ee/roycalvinDating lessons from this episode:Getting ghosted after six dates can happen when the connection moves too fast. If a woman goes from constant “I miss you” texts and affection to complete silence, the early intensity may have been unsustainable. Set the tone from the beginning so the relationship does not peak too hard too early and collapse.Do not match a woman’s love-bombing energy too quickly. When a woman sends constant affectionate texts early on, replying instantly with the same intensity can create unrealistic expectations. Keeping your replies slower and steadier can help prevent the dynamic from burning out.If she stops replying after saying she is busy, send one more clear invite. “Let me know when you’re free” is often too passive because most people are bad at making plans. If you like her, follow up with a specific message asking when she is free instead of assuming the situation is dead.Sleeping together on the first date does not explain why she ghosted. Having sex on the first date does not automatically mean a woman is playing the field or that the connection was doomed. First-date sex can still lead to strong dating momentum, so do not blame the timing of sex for every ghosting situation. If a woman only wants to meet every two weeks, stop trying to force more time together. Seeing someone every two weeks can be enough early on, especially if she is still willing to meet. Pushing for more frequent dates, texting every day, or calling to ask where things are going can make you look too eager.Asking for permission to kiss can make the moment awkward. Instead of asking directly, it is better to read the situation and make a move naturally. A small physical step, like kissing her cheek, can help you gauge interest without turning the moment into a verbal negotiation. If a woman gets quiet after making out, she may be waiting for you to escalate. Quietness after kissing does not always mean discomfort or rejection. In some situations, especially after several dates, it may mean she is mentally preparing for sex and waiting for you to lead. The best response to “let’s just be friends” is no response. If a woman sends a “just friends” text after a date, she is usually not actually trying to start a friendship. Do not argue, teach her a lesson, or send a reactive goodbye message; stay silent and go date someone else.Do not give a woman your number on a note if you could talk to her normally. Handing a note to a woman who works somewhere you visit can feel awkward and usually gives her very little reason to respond. Build small conversations first, learn something about her, and ask directly when the timing is better.Do not reveal antidepressant use early in dating unless it is necessary. Bringing up antidepressants on the fifth date can create doubts before the relationship is established. Do not stop medication for a woman, but in future dating situations, avoid oversharing medical or mental-health details too early.
