His name and face have become synonymous with Broadway red carpets and rehearsal rooms, having interviewed everyone from Chita Rivera (an inspiration to him throughout his life) to Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. From an early age working as a server at the classic Broadway eatery Ted Hook’s Backstage, Richard made impressions on some of the biggest stars including Cher, Karen Black and Elizabeth Taylor.
