In her signature genteel demeanor, Kayla also emphasizes the importance of being adventurous and seeking opportunities outside of one's comfort zone as well as the significance of voting and women's rights.Just as impactful as her service in the different causes that she is committed to, voting and women’s rights are two crucial issues that Kayla believes her generation must pay attention to and engage in. She believes that the voices of Black college students especially must be heard outside of their known and expected spaces.
