I wish I could make a model like this
from Marvelman Studio Hosted by Marvelman
This guy made a cardboard model of a city town that has a hospital and a barber shop. Loose parts on the other side Here it appears to me that someone wanted to illustrate how different parts of a small town can be constructed out of simple materials. The model employs cardboard to portray the structures and streets. Every building is formed, and labeled, according to what it is supposed to be. Two of the most prominent features are the hospital and the barber shop. Other buildings such as hospitals could also be added, but the point is to demonstrate how vital services could work within a town’s master plan. I’ve found cardboard an ideal material to work with for models like this, as it is fairly easy to cut, fold, and glue together. It's great for basic shapes and can help you build up a clear layout without using fancy tools. A model such as this can be used to help people understand how various services are positioned in a town. It illustrates how roads could link buildings and how space could be used efficiently. Projects of this sort are commonly developed for school assignments, planning exercises or as a hobby. They might be useful for teaching children how towns work. Not only is it a walled off space in the mall, there are services that we as people use on a regular basis, like taking care of our health and grooming, Furnish said. And one physical model shows how everything lines up.
