I Wish I Could Say

from Poetry by Tim Windisch · host Tim Windisch

I wish I could say The wars end, everybody gets it and inflation ends Nothing to revenge, nothing to defend Gas comes down, we all learn to pray When’s that? I wish I could say Neighbors talk, gates swing free, streets are safe No wrong rub, no incurable chafe I can’t remember the last cloudy day When? I wish I could say Running into walls chasing cheese Morals abandoned, do as you please Up down back forth pitch and sway Going to get off? I wish I could say I wish I could say but I’m only, you know just me Someone might not, you know totally agree And tell me, where would that leave me? Tim Windisch Sr. 10-21-2005
