I Wish I Would Have Known I Could Be A Stay At Home Dad

from Evolution of One · host 3vies

I wanted to talk about the fact growing up it was never talked about the idea that I could be a stay-at-home dad and I really wish that idea would have been discussed. I wanted to talk about the fact that if I could I would love to stay at home and clean and help the kids with their school work. I think it's where I am most comfortable. As we break down gender norms I think it's really important to talk with your partner. It can look different than one breadwinner. More importantly, don't just assume it's the woman who will stay home when kids come. If you are anything like me be open to taking on that responsibility. I wish I had. I just wish I would have seen the option was there. Even though I did not, I was abler to find an employer that shared my desires and valued the type of father I wanted to be. That's why self-awareness is so vital and the sooner you are able to uncover that the more liberty you will have to become fully you.    Check out the latest volume of 3vies Magazine - https://3vies.com
