 After reading the book ACRES OF DIAMONDS by Russell Conwell, I am convinced we are all leaving the diamond mines in our own back yards as we travel around the world looking for larger diamonds, when in fact the diamonds we seek are found within us and our hometown, from whence we came. Therefore, we are calling the podcast, #IAMRIVIERABEACH.  #RIVIERABEACHPRIDEOur vision is to shed a bright light on the wonderful, smart, talented individuals from our great City, Riviera Beach, Florida.  As a native resident representing District 3 in Riviera Beach and current Health Planner for Palm Beach County, Councilwoman Shirley Lanier is dedicated to community development, economic self-sufficiency, and job creation. She brings to the Council her 20+ years of experience in strategic planning and implementation, housing advocacy, youth service programs and community sustainability. Councilwoman Lanier has a plethora of specifically designed strategies to put into action for Departments in the City that will be used as guidelines and protocols for the use of local funding. The broad range of projects she plans to carry out while serving Riviera Beach includes, community partnerships, family support models, and promoting employment development.
