After reading the book ACRES OF DIAMONDS by Russell Conwell, I am convinced we are all leaving the diamond mines in our own backyards as we travel around the world looking for larger diamonds, when in fact the diamonds we seek are found within us and our hometown, from whence we came. She brings to the Council her 30+ years of experience in strategic planning and implementation, housing advocacy, youth service programs and community sustainability. Using her extensive experience in community service, Councilwoman Lanier has successfully implemented a broad range of projects to include jobs for returning citizens, protection of the city’s wetlands, and crime prevention programs to improve public safety. With the goal of every resident being empowered and self-sufficient, Councilwoman Lanier has championed opportunities for them to better themselves and their community.
