Ian Dunt's UK: Nigel Farage resigns as MP to force by-election

Reform UK's Nigel Farage has resigned as MP while under investigation from Parliament's standards commissioner after not declaring a £5m gift he received from billionaire donor Christopher Harborne in 2024, before Farage's election. He is also facing questions about donations received from another supporter, George Cottrell. Farage denies any wrongdoing, and has vowed to win back his seat in a by-election.
