The Hindu Heritage Youth Camp has been an institution in the greater Houston area for 39 years. It is a summer 5-day stay away camp tailored towards 8-17 year olds and is oriented around helping youth learn about Hindu traditions and values and find a support system for themselves based in Hinduism. Namita Pallod credits her involvement in HHYC for making her learn more about Hinduism on her own terms which allowed her to build a strong connection to her faith.
