In this episode, Desiree speaks with Kike Miralles and Josh Goldman, an alumnus of Imperial College, about mining critical minerals. Kike and Josh both share their experiences and insights working in this field - Josh by founding KoBold Metals, a startup backed by top investors like Bill Gates’ Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz and Kike by working in deep-tech venture capital and investing in the new mining innovation at Starlight Ventures. Prior to Starlight Ventures, Kike consulted for McKinsey and Company, completed his MBA at MIT, and earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s in the field of physics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain and Ulm University in Germany.      Josh Goldman is the co-Founder and President of KoBold Metals, a startup aiming to leverage artificial intelligence to identify mineral deposits needed for transition to a low-carbon economy. Prior to founding KoBold Metals, Josh worked in oil and gas private equity, and also consulted for McKinsey and Company.
