IBAL official lauds Sligo's success in litter league

An IBAL official has described Sligo's placing at the top of the business group's litter rankings as "a great achievement".The announcement was made today as Sligo replaced Naas as the cleanest town in Ireland.Special mentions were made in the report to the Adelaide Street Car Park that had been heavily littered but was very much cleaned up and deserving of top litter grade this time around.The report described the Quayside Shopping Centre as absolutely spotless throughout and how Tobergal Lane as an excellent example of how an interconnecting ‘lane’ environment can become quite the feature in a town – it was adorned with an abundance of planting, within an array of colourful pots.
