IBTS Warns Demand For Blood In Clare Unrelenting

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service says the demand for blood supplies in Clare remains relenteless. It comes ahead of a walk in clinic being held in Ennis this evening from 4.50pm until 8.10pm at Treacy's West County Hotel. According to the IBTS, hospitals were particularly affected by increased admissions during the recent heatwave. Broadford based Donor Recruitment Executive Alex O'Connor says the majority of donations go to cancer patients.
