ICE Out of Control
from CAFE Insider
If the people with oversight over federal agents won’t hold them accountable, what’s left for the public to do when an innocent person is killed in plain sight…and the government lies about what happened? On a new episode of the Insider podcast, Preet Bharara and Joyce Vance discuss the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by border patrol agents in Minnesota. They delve into its aftermath, including the Trump administration’s response, the federal government’s efforts to quash the evidence, and whether anyone—from the agent that shot Pretti to President Trump—will be held accountable. Then, they break down a secret leaked internal ICE memo authorizing ICE agents to enter people’s homes without a judicial warrant. We hope you’re finding CAFE Insider informative.
