ICE: Polls, Perception, and Politics

from Ray Horner Morning Show · host WAKR

About 150 protesters gathered in Akron's Highland Square on Tuesday, adding their voices to the national chorus of blame related to the fatal shooting of registered nurse, Alex Pretti, who was killed by federal agents in Minneapolis last weekend. But and ICE surge may soon also be on the way to Ohio, according to a new report in the Columbus Dispatch, which says Ohio Governor Mike DeWine indicates work needs to be done to ensure no one gets hurt, if ICE moves into Springfield, where 15 thousand Haitian refugees—nearly a quarter of the city's residents—have been living and working under temporary protected legal status for years. We talked about ICE tactics, public perception, polls, and politics today with University of Akron Political Science Professor, Dr. David Cohen. Listen now to his conversation with our Morning Show Host, Ray Horner:
