ICYMI Encore Episode of A Conversation with Professor Naoko Wake

from Asian American History 101 · host Gen & Ted Lai

Welcome to Season 2, Episode 53! In today's In Case You Missed It (ICYMI) Encore Episode, we revisit one of our favorite interviews that originally aired Season 1, Episode 37. Professor Naoko Wake is the author of American Survivors: Trans-Pacific Memories of Hiroshima and Nagasaki published by Cambridge University Press. She is a historian of gender, sexuality, and illness in the twentieth century United States and the Pacific Rim who works at Michigan State University. She joined us to have a conversation about her book and the interviews she conducted. It was a sad yet fascinating piece of our history that we rarely hear about. We urge everyone to go out and read this book.
