I'd Rather Be a Hired Hand

Achilles tells Antilochus, plainly and quietly, that he regrets the choice: the glory is useless and the dead are all equal under the same gloom. Antilochus does not indulge him — he points out that everyone here is in the same situation, including Heracles and Meleager, and that the others bear it in silence rather than make wishes that get laughed at.
