Identifying Where Codependency Shows Up & Impacts Your Life, Relationships, Wellbeing & Differentiating It From Healthy Dependence & How It Keeps Us From Our Divine Feminine Personal Sovereignty

from Women Waken: Spiritual Healing for Trauma in Relationships to Shift from Codependency to Divine Feminine · host Whitney Walker

I'm tackling another big 'ol buzz topic in the Spiritual and Therapy Worlds these days; Codependency. It shows up in a lot of my episode titles because, well, it has a lot to do with what keeps most of us from standing fully in our Divine Feminine power and sovereignty. Codependency has many different definitions. The term originated from the realm and addiction & substance abuse. Patterns that were observed amongst families of addicts where the relationship between the identified addict and their family members consistently appeared to be one of entangled emotional dependence on one another. One being the enabler or fixer and the other needing to be saved. Hence the term Codependency was born describing when an individual has become reliant on someone else for their own emotional wellbeing.  On this Identify & Heal solo episode, I further describe the nature and origins of codependency. I also illustrate what it can look like & how it can show up in our relationships with romantic partners, family members, co-workers, friends, even clients or our kids. Then I share ways that we can begin to release codependent tendencies to step further into our true Sovereign selves, experiencing full acceptance & love of ourselves free from attachments to others.  Join the Women Waken Community on Instagram Here: https://tinyurl.com/522duz2c Feel free to reach out to me to see how we can work together and send your questions, feedback, and requests for future solo episodes here: Whitney Walker, LMFTLicense # 107082www.WomenWaken.comhttps://www.psychologytoday.com/[email protected]: @WomenwakenYoutube: @womenwaken
