Recorded November 3, 2020. A research seminar as part of the Identities in Transformation Postgraduate Seminar Series, in partnership with Trinity Long Room Hub. Continuing on from last year's series, this seminar explores the concept of embodiment, and will seek to interrogate how concepts of the body and embodiment influence our knowledge of, perception of, and negotiation with the world through which we move. Talks will explore processes of embodiment and disembodiment, and will touch on the development of identity in relation to embodied aspects of the self, with special focuses on gender, emotion, performance and social belonging. The seminar will feature talks by Orlaith Darling (School of English), Nandini Gupta (School of Ecumenics/Peace Studies) and Morgan Wait (School of Histories and Humanities). They will be joined by faculty members Dr Miranda Fay Thomas (School of Creative Arts) and Dr Lilith Acadia (Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Fellow 2019/2020, currently at National Taiwan University).
