Identity — Career Day

We spend years training for the careers we choose, but Scripture describes callings every Christian already is . This message identifies four such vocations that belong to all believers regardless of profession. First, we are fishers of people (Matthew 4:18-20), carrying Jesus' own mission to seek and save the lost. Second, we are gardeners , doing the patient work of preparing soil so others can receive Christ—prompting the question, who is your one? Third, we are general contractors (1 Corinthians 3:10-15), building with materials that will be tested by fire at the judgment seat, not for salvation but for reward. Fourth, we are bodybuilders , stewarding our bodies as God's temple and building up the church. Salvation is settled by Christ's finished work; these callings flow from gratitude, not anxiety. The closing counsel is simple: start somewhere, serve from what you love, and refuse to treat the Christian life as a spectator sport.
