Identity — Identity = Access
from LifeWell Messages
Access defines almost everything in modern life: who boards first class, who enters the VIP section, who can reach a bank account or a classified file. This message argues that the access that matters most is the one we forfeited and could never recover on our own — unhindered fellowship with God. Tracing the arc from Genesis through Ephesians 2, the teaching frames Eden's face-to-face communion, the fracture of the fall, and the limited access of the old covenant, where one priest entered the Holy of Holies once a year. Gentiles stood furthest out, “without hope and without God in the world,” until the blood of Christ tore down the dividing wall and reconciled both Jew and Gentile to the Father. The application turns practical and pointed: access is useless unless it is used. Jesus modeled continual communion with the Father, and believers, sealed by the Spirit as God's own possession, are urged to stop being timid about an identity they were given and to draw near daily.
