Identity in Christ
from Good and Godly Hosted by Good & Godly Podcast
In a world constantly asking, “Who are you?”, it’s easy to build identity on achievement, feelings, or the opinions of others. But what if our identity isn’t something we create, but something we receive? In this episode of Good & Godly, we dive into what it truly means to be “in Christ.” Through Scripture, we explore how our identity is rooted in Jesus, united with Him, covered by His righteousness, and adopted into God’s family. We contrast the shifting messages of culture with the unchanging truth of God’s Word, and uncover the freedom that comes from no longer striving to earn approval. You’ll be encouraged to live not for identity, but from it, resting in the finished work of Christ. This episode speaks directly to anxiety, comparison, and performance-driven faith, pointing instead to the peace, confidence, and security found in the gospel. Big takeaway: You don’t live to earn identity—you live from the identity Christ has already given you.
