She studies stigma and social support, particularly as it pertains to online communities and other forms of computer-mediated communication. In this episode she discusses the importance of her Chinese heritage, especially having spent some of her formative childhood years living in China. We talk about her experiences as a multiracial person who often passes as white, especially to white people.Rebecca is in the process of working on her study and will soon need participants for a survey.
