But our emotions cannot always tell us what is true. Paul does not say there is no condemnation for those who feel forgiven. Our assurance rests in Jesus Christ, not in the stability of our emotions.This episode also examines the important difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation tells us that we are hopeless and should hide from God. The Holy Spirit’s conviction identifies what is wrong and draws us toward God through confession, repentance, forgiveness, and transformation.Faith does not require us to deny our feelings. It teaches us to name them honestly and then place the truth of God beside them. Feelings are real—but they are not final.
