Ideology & Compliance in the Arts: the "Social Justice" Stranglehold

Michael currently works in the music industry as an audio engineer. He has worked for Grammy-nominated artists & experimental artists alike, all around the world. He loved his work but noticed something didn't "feel right" several years ago, specifically in regard to the treatment of those with a differing opinion from those on the left. As an extremely liberal, perhaps even anarchistic person, it appeared the most "tolerant" were quickest to assume & judge, often with a thirst for blood, particularly in online arts spaces. After his own "cancelation" in 2023, Michael has been struggling to rebuild both personally & professionally. Though still figuring things out, he hopes perhaps someone out there might be able to relate to his experience & realize they are not alone.
