Idiot Plot - Voodoo Doll (2004 Spring Rehearsal)

This recording is culled from an old Idiot Plot rehearsal cassette, recorded in the spring of 2004 at Matt Taylor's house. We had just played a CD Release show, on 3/13/2004. We were on a kind of high from that, and we were writing some new material. Our new bassist, Zach Dodson, was proving to have an interesting influence on our material; the kinetic energy that he and our drummer, Ben Munkholm, concocted, drove us to some visceral places. This was one of two or three songs we wrote with Zach's input. It was conceived as an instrumental; we never even tried to write lyrics. Matt "No Choice" Taylor - Guitar Ryan Dannar - Guitar Zach Dodson - Bass Guitar Ben Munkholm - Drums Originally recorded to two tracks on a crappy cassette-tape, using 2 crappy mics and a Tascam 424 MKii four-track. Converted to digital and "mastered" (sort of) by Ryan.
