IELTS Speaking Saturday - Episode 5 [Holidays and Books]
from SureScore IELTS & CELPIP prep · host SureScore
Here's a new set of questions asked worldwide on October 31. --- Part 1 – What’s the most interesting place to visit in your hometown? – Do many tourists visit your country? – Do you like long or short holidays? – Where do you like to go on holidays? – Do you prefer beach holidays or city holidays? Part 2 Describe a book you read that you found useful. You should say: - When you read it - What type of book is it - What is it about And explain why you found it useful Part 3 – Some critics say reading is better than writing; do you agree? – Are ebooks better than physical books? – What kinds of books are most popular with children in your country? – Some people say adults are better at reading than children. Is that true? – Do young people and old people like to read the same types of books? --- Every Saturday, my goal is to record ideal, band-9-level responses to a brand new, full IELTS speaking test so that you can have a good idea of what to say in response to these questions. Regardless of whether you're aiming for a 6.5 or a 9, these will be helpful for you. Please keep in mind that some of these responses will be much longer than the amount of time for which you'd need to speak, but I'm doing this so that you have an idea of all the kinds of things you can say and HOW to say them in your test.
