If you could cure cancer by pushing a button...but one random person had to die...would you push the button?

from ROCK MORNINGS · host Brian Simpson

Looks like rain arrives around noon today & continues through the evening & overnight. Lawn is going to be an absolute jungle by Saturday! And speaking of lawns, we checked in to make sure you're mowing correctly. In the news this morning, a guilty verdict for a La Crosse man who forced a woman into prostitution to repay her debt to him, an update on the suspended commander at Fort McCoy, the WI DOT has revoked a bunch of licenses for car dealerships throughout the state, and more info on the NFL draft in Green Bay this weekend. In sports, the Brew Crew dropped another one to the Giants last night, the NBA playoffs continued, and the NHL playoffs also kept chugging along. Sad news out of the NFL as Bears legend and football Hall of Famer Steve "Mongo" McMichael passed away yesterday after battling ALS. Elsewhere in sports, we took a look at the upcoming schedule for the NBA & NHL playoffs, and we talked about Faith Kipyegon attempting to break the 4-minute mile barrier. Good luck, yo! Today is "National Pigs in a Blanket Day", so celebrate with some weenies in a crescent roll! We let you know what's on the boob tube today/tonight and talked about the upcoming Pee Wee Herman documentary. Plus, a cool story about a good Samaritan that helped a fellow runner during the Boston Marathon on Monday. It is "Hypothetical Thursday" today, and Jean's question for Brian was: "If you could experience any natural disaster & live, which one would you choose?" Brian's question for Jean was: "If you could cure cancer by pressing a button, but one random person would have to die, would you do it?" Office Cora joined us just after 8am to talk about what she's doing this weekend in the 715, and a former tennis legend is now trying out pickleball. In today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about some people trapped in a driverless car, a #FloridaMan who trapped a gator in a trash can, an update on the drunk postal worker that we talked about yesterday, a mortician in Texas who was allegedly experimenting on bodies, a fight between two strippers from rival clubs, and another educator running a student "Fight Club" at school.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
