We are all stuck inside and spending more time than we are used to with our housemates so what do we do when we need a break from them? The Utalk crew has some advice on how to get distance and your own space while stuck inside with your housemates. One thing you can do is make your room or sleeping space off limits to your housemates and that is your personal safe space you go when you need a break. Being stuck inside all day for months is taking an emotional toll on all of us and we need to make sure to take care of our mental health during this time. Being around the same people all day doesn’t help. What can you do? Dr. Josh says you can practice emotional self distancing. How do we do that? You put up boundaries and practice good communication.
