Ignite Your Soul Now with Rev. Cynthia Andrews-Looper (Cyd) Rev. Cynthia Andrews-Looper (Rev. Cyd) is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ (UCC). She holds a B.A. in Psychology and M.Min. from Southern Wesleyan University. In October of 2014, she resigned her position, after 18 years as Sr. Pastor, to start her new ministry, Ignite Your Soul Now. In this new chapter, she is writing, speaking and consulting. Her first book is her autobiography entitled, Two Pews from Crazy, the insane journey of a lesbian minister from Christian fundamentalism to a faith of love alone, will be release in late October. She feels a passionate call to be a voice that ignites the souls of humanity to live life fully from a place of abundance. Currently, she is also a Senior Consultant with the Center for Progressive Renewal. She specializes in mentoring, inspiring and motivating the leaders in organizations who need renewal and revitalization. Part of her focus and passion are speaking and writing about the issues related to lgbtq community and faith; in particular, and the transitions that are taking place within the evangelical movement. She seeks to provide insight and understanding for the evangelical church as they address the issues related to same sex marriage. Rev. Cyd uses humor, storytelling and insight to capture the attention of her audience and readers. She is a force making an impact on the souls of humanity led by love.
